'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 2 Spoilers: The Survivors Will Now Battle Zombies at Sea
ABC definitely surprised everyone when they brought the idea that survivors might be able to also survive the zombie apocalypse by going to the sea. Viewers saw the remaining survivors escape zombie hordes by heading offshore, thanks to Strand's yacht, in the last episode of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 1.
Entertainment Weekly spoke with the show's creator, Dave Erickson, and asked what will happen next to the "seabound refugees." Erickson teases fans that getting into the yacht for the survivors will become a challenge. The showrunner also said some other boats are coveting what the survivors have because of Strand's "badass yacht." When asked where the group might be headed to, Erickson said that, "The intention was always to hug the Pacific."
The showrunner also teased what other things to expect this upcoming season."You're going to see a bunch of seabound refugees over the course of season 2. And much in the same way that we have taken steps to survive and compromised our morals to do so, we're going to have to deal with some people who have very similar objectives, and the default setting for most of these people is not going to be let's all live in harmony and try to build a new community," Erickson said.
"Fear the Walking Dead" co-creator Rob Kirkman also chatted with EW for an interview recently, and said season 2 will just like be "The Walking Dead's" earlier seasons, a long, long journey. However, the creators would like to see the difference between the two shows by getting "Fear the Walking Dead" on water.
Kirkman also assured that the show will still going to be action-packed, even if the survivors are on a boat. "Despite the fact that zombies can't walk on water and can't swim, there will be plenty of zombies to be had," he added. Fans definitely have a lot to look forward to in the show's second season.
"Fear the Walking Dead" season 2 will be back next year on ABC.
