'Fear the Walking Dead' Season 3 Spoilers: Everything Can Go Wrong After a Supposed Happy Episodic Ending
While everything seems to be going well after the airing of tonight's episode of "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3, things are expected to go wrong in the remaining five episodes of the zombie-apocalypse drama.
Observers believe that happy (episodic) endings are usually a telltale sign that a series of catastrophic events will happen. While Colman Domingo, who plays the role of Strand in "Fear the Walking Dead," did not reveal what catastrophes the characters are set to experience, he has confirmed that the supposed happy ending in tonight's episode is a sort of the so-called calm before the storm.
Just because the Nation and Ranchers have put their differences aside so that they can live together, and Strand has solved their water supply problem, the worse is over for "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3. In fact, according to Domingo, everything can go wrong in the five remaining episodes of the zombie-apocalypse series.
"I think as humans we believe that everything's going to work out fine. It's going to be a great day. We've got what we need. We're going to make this feel all of wonderful but there's so many complexities and things going on that we're not aware of. We have no idea what's happening at the Ranch. We have no idea what's going on at the dam as we leave. We have no idea might be compromised or people may be compromised," Domingo told ComicBook.com.
Meanwhile, Forbes reports that, while "Fear the Walking Dead" season 3 is the best so far, it continues to pale in comparison to its sister series, "The Walking Dead," as far as the ratings are concerned. According to the publication, the series' double-feature midseason premiere the other Sunday registered only 2.14 million viewers, down from its 2.4 million viewers upon the airing of its season 3 midseason finale.
Despite its ratings spiraling down, Forbes opines that it doesn't mean that "Fear the Walking Dead" is in the danger of cancellation. Apart from being relatively cheaper to make as compared to its sister series, "Fear the Walking Dead" is still the second-highest rating show for AMC, with "The Walking Dead" still topping the list.
"Fear the Walking Dead" airs every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
