Fergie and Josh Duhamel Separate After 8 Years of Marriage; Couple Spotted Without Wedding Rings
Another Hollywood couple bites the dust.
On Sept. 14, former Black Eyed Peas member Fergie and actor Josh Duhamel formally announced their separation after eight years of marriage. "With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year," the couple announced in a joint statement.
Fergie, whose real name is Stacey Ann Ferguson, share a 4-year-old son, Axl, with Duhamel. The couple got married in 2009 but had already been together for five years by then. They've been together ever since the pop star first appeared on Duhamel's show "Las Vegas."
Months have already passed since the now ex-couple were last photographed together, and it has been revealed that the couple had already separated earlier this year but decided to keep the matter private. "To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family," their statement revealed.
The last time the couple was seen together was back in July, but in January, Duhamel, 44, publicly shared affection for his wife at their eighth wedding anniversary. The actor took to Instagram where he shared a photo of himself with then-wife Fergie and their son.
Both Fergie and Duhamel were recently spotted (separately) without their wedding rings. Apparently, the singer was in Brazil enjoying her single life and had reportedly replaced her wedding ring with four new ones. Duhamel, on the other hand, was pictured taking a hike, and his ring finger was ring-less. Just last Wednesday, he was still spotted wearing his wedding band while out with his son.
It looks like 2017 isn't a great year for Hollywood relationships. A few weeks ago, "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt and wife Anna Faris announced their split. Now, Fergie and Josh Duhamel have followed suit.
