Fergie Spotted Cheerfully Greeting Fans Despite Split From Husband Josh Duhamel
It looks like newly single Fergie is enjoying her newfound freedom after separating from husband of eight years, Josh Duhamel.
Just a day after news first broke out that pop star Fergie and actor Josh Duhamel had decided to end their marriage, the 42-year-old former Black Eyed Peas member was all smiles as she was spotted greeting her fans just before her performance at 2017 Rock in Rio Festival in Brazil. Perhaps the singer isn't letting her personal life get in the way of business or maybe the couple's separation is doing the both of them much good.
Duhamel was just recently spotted in great shape as he took a hike through L.A.'s Brentwood neighborhood without his wedding ring. Fergie too had ditched her wedding ring as she was photographed outside her hotel in Brazil, greeting her fans and giving the photographs a cheerful smile.

"With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year," the couple earlier announced in a joint statement. "To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public. We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family," their statement added.
As for the reason why the couple chose to split, a source reveals that it was actually a long time coming as Fergie, whose real name is Stacey Ann Ferguson, and Duhamel were complete opposites and lived different lifestyles. According to the source, Duhamel was more like the "average joe" and enjoys doing regular activities while Fergie is greatly focused in her reignited career.
Thankfully, though, it was also revealed that the couple parted ways with great admiration for each other and that there were no explosive fights or arguments, just a mutual understanding of what they think is right.
The couple has a 4-year-old son together, Axl.
