'First They Killed My Father' Latest News: Angelina Jolie Gives Credit to Son Maddox for Supporting Her While Working on Film
Angelina Jolie gives credit to her son, Maddox Jolie-Pitt, for supporting her in doing her latest film, "First They Killed My Father."
When it comes to her children, Angelina Jolie is giving them the freedom to be whoever they want but that doesn't mean she can't dream about working in the same industry as them in the future. Just recently, the 42-year-old actress admitted that her eldest son Maddox Jolie-Pitt's support is what pushed her to work on "First They Killed My Father."
In an interview with E! News during the premiere of the film at the Toronto International Film Festival, she gave her eldest child some well-deserved praises. "I can never rate my own child, but I couldn't have made it without him and I cannot say that about every producer I've worked with," she says.
The actress looked happy as ever despite the challenges she had been facing over the past few months, especially with her divorce from Brad Pitt. In fact, she even brought all of her children at the premiere of "First They Killed My Father" on the Toronto International Film Festival.
Posing with her on the red carpet are Maddox, 16, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and her famous twins, Vivienne and Knox, 9.
During an interview for the September issue of Vanity Fair, she talked about how strong her children are. "They're six very strong-minded, thoughtful, worldly individuals," she says in the interview, adding, "I'm very proud of them."
The actress also opened up about her split with her partner for over a decade, Brad Pitt, and how they are coping. It should be remembered that Angelina filed for divorce from the actor back in September 2016.
"My focus is my children, our children ... and my focus is finding this way through," she once said in an interview back in February. "As I said, we are and forever will be a family. I am coping with finding a way through to make sure that this somehow makes us stronger and closer," she added.
