'Flip or Flop' Star Tarek El Moussa Shares Unflattering Photo of Himself During the 'Lowest Points' of His Life

Tarek El Moussa is getting up and personal with the challenges he has overcome.

On Tuesday, Tarek El Moussa took to Instagram and shared a rather unflattering photo of himself during his toughest times. Not only that, he personally talked about his struggles and how he overcame them. "NOT embarrassed to share!!! This was one of the absolute lowest points of my life!!," the "Flip or Flop" star said.

In the photo, he was wearing shades and appeared rather thin, to which he admitted that he had lost about 50 pounds because of his pain medications.

"After beating cancer twice I had a horrific back injury. Over the course of 10 months I lost 50 pounds from all the pain meds which prevented me from wanting to eat and I was nauseous all the time. I remember those days... in this photo I'm pale white... eyes are black... and I was 169 pounds!! My clothing didn't fit and it looks like I'm wearing drapes!" he added.

The 36-year-old also confessed that it was during those times that he really wanted to quit on life, but thankfully, he did not. He reminded everyone that everything is possible if one would keep hoping.

Back in 2013, Tarek El Moussa was diagnosed with thyroid cancer after one of their viewers noticed a lump in his throat. In that same year, he was also diagnosed with testicular cancer. However, he decided to keep his health issues a secret until he publicly revealed them in an interview with Good Morning America last February.

Thankfully for the HGTV star, both of his cancers are now in remission and it seems like everything is working out for him despite the domestic issues that he and his wife Christina were involved in, which eventually led to their divorce. However, the two also didn't seem to part in bitter terms as they will continue to work on their children as well as their reality TV show together.
