Flip Phone Philips V800 Spotted at TENAA; Leaked Specs Include Android Lollipop, 13MP Camera, 2 GB of RAM
Dutch technology company Philips is said to be working on a clamshell smartphone dubbed as the V800. According to a report by Softpedia, the device was recently seen being certified at TENAA, which is the Chinese regulatory commission. Although it is not official yet, the handset may be coming to China soon.
The listing also revealed the specifications and design of the smartphone. As reported by Android Advices, the clamshell smartphone is said to feature two identical HD TFT screens which are the external and the internal displays. Both have a measurement of 3.7 inches and a pixel resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device is a mid-ranger so the other specs are expected to be entry-level.
The device is also presumed to be equipped under the hood with an unspecified quad-core processor that will run at 1.5 GHz. It will be pre-installed with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, with an expectation of an OS update, and will have 2 GB of RAM. Mobipicker noted from the listing that its internal memory storage is set at 16 GB and can be expanded further up to 64 GB via a microSD card slot.

It is also noted to have two cameras. One is a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and the other one is a 5-megapixel front camera. It's not known yet how much the battery capacity will be but it is expected to be just a small one considering the screen size of the device.
As for the connectivity options, the listing showed that the Philips V800 will include 4G-LTE, 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0 port and GPS/A-GPS. Phones Review detailed that the smartphone is offered in black and measures 116.8mm x 60mm x 19.1mm with a weight of 206g.
The specific date for its launching is not announced yet but there is a possibility though that it will be revealed in the next couple of weeks considering its certification at TENAA.
