Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Fight 2015 News: Mayweather Says 'Fight Not Made Yet' as Excitement Builds

After Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao's chance meeting at the Miami Heat game last week, followed by an hour-long meeting at Pacquiao's hotel, many people are expecting that the much awaited fight is almost a done deal as Pacquiao's adviser, Michael Koncz, who was present at the meeting, was very positive about what transpired when the two boxers met.

"I think Floyd is sincere about wanting the fight, I really do," says Koncz to Yahoo! "I know Manny has wanted it and he's ready to fight and has been for a while. So I'm very optimistic."

"For the most part, it was just Floyd, Manny and I in the room and it was a very good conversation."

Last Saturday, TMZ reported that Mayweather and Pacquiao have already agreed to a fight, set for May 2 in Las Vegas. While both boxers have previously said that negotiations and talks are ongoing, Mayweather shot down the story and posted a picture on his Shots account to tell fans that nothing has been set in stone as of the moment.

Mayweather posted a picture of himself lounging in a hammock in front of a beach captioned, "Laying back, relaxing, enjoying good weather, palm trees, and piña coladas. While they continue to lie about making the fight … I'm just going to continue to travel and explore the world on my private jet. #FightNotMadeYet."

TMZ later amended the story and added that while both boxers have agreed to the fight, a formal agreement has not yet been signed.

In an interview with BoxingScene, Showtime Sports head Stephen Espinoza also rejected TMZ's claim.

"These series of reports that the fight is done is completely baffling to us … This deal is not close to being done, and everybody involved knows that," said Espinoza.
