'Food Wars! The Third Plate' Episode 6 Spoilers: Totsuki Culinary Academy Welcomes a New Director?
Huge changes are coming to the Totsuki Culinary Academy as a new director takes over on the next episode of the Japanese anime series, "Shokugeki no Soma: San no Sara (Food Wars! The Third Plate)" What drastic reforms will formerly exiled alumnus, Azami Nakiri, bring in his quest to uphold true gourmet dining?
The 92nd Moon Festival has wrapped up, and after its teeming success on the fourth day, Soma Yukihira's Chinses Cuisine Stall managed to finish in second place for total sales in the Central Area. His rival, Terunori Kuga, on the other hand, still secured first place despite losing the spot to Yukihira on the fourth day.
The result, though favorable, still caused disappointment for both Soma and Kuga. The former has hoped to pull off a miracle and beat Kuga with his restaurant know-how and expertise. On the other hand, Kuga has lost his chance of a rematch with First Seat, Eishi Tsukasa, when he failed to stay on top for five consecutive days.
But as it turned out, this is the least of their concerns, when, just before the festival officially closed at the elite Yamanote Area, a bearer of disturbing news arrived. Erina Nakiri's father, Azami, arrived with a Totsuki Elite Ten Council Urgent Summons, proposing that he becomes the new academy director.
This brings a barrel of complication on so many fronts since Azami is a firm believer that in order for the academy to achieve true gourmet dining quality, it will have to get rid of subpar students who could not measure up.
Additionally, six of the Elite Ten members have signed the proposal, including First and Second Seats, Tsukasa and Rindo Kobayashi. The latter even seems to be on a mission to persuade Soma to take their side.
This is the major issue that this season will be dealing with, and it is about to create an impact in Soma's life and culinary dreams in the most unexpected ways.
