Former Disney Star Tiffany Thornton Speaks Out in Defense of her New Marriage Two Years After First Husband's Death
Tiffany Thornton has found love once again after a great tragedy, but many believed that it was a bit "too soon." On Saturday, the 31-year-old former Disney star wed Josiah Capaci, a worship pastor at the Gospel Light Church. Thornton was quick to share the news of her wedding on Instagram, saying that it was the best day of her life, and as for the groom, he says that the wedding exceeded all of his expectations.
However, not everyone seemed to agree with her as there were some who commented that it was a bit too early for her to be getting married once again after the death of her first husband, Chris Carney, in 2015. Carney died in a horrible car accident. After his death, fans quickly sent out their support for the widowed Thornton with friends Demi Lovato and Evan Ross even extending their hand in help.

Now, the newly wedded Tiffany is speaking out in defense of her new marriage.
"This is love. That all encompassing, enduring, accepting, near perfect love. The kind that trumps my need to snap back at people who have the audacity to comment on my Instagram about whether I loved my first husband or not. But let me take a moment to explain something to you. There is no timeline for grief or for when God moves in your life in undeniable ways," she says on Instagram.
According to her, she believed that Chris was watching and smiling down upon them during their wedding. In fact, her late first husband's parents were even sitting front row during the ceremony.
"I will always love Chris and Jo knows that. And I will always love Jo. The beautiful thing about love is that it multiplies as new blessings come into your life," she finally says.
Tiffany has two children with Chris Carney.
