Fox News Anchor Arrested: Gregg Jarrett Was 'Intoxicated and Belligerent' at Airport Bar
A Fox News anchor was arrested Wednesday afternoon for being "intoxicated and belligerent" when confronted by police officers at a Minneapolis airport, according to reports. Gregg Jarrett, 59, was at the Northern Lights Grill in Minneaoplis-St. Paul International Airport at about 12:30 p.m. when the incident occurred.
The Fox News anchor got into an incident at the bar over a "tab charge," the Hennepin County Sheriff's Department revealed. Police officers were called to the scene, but Jarrett wouldn't listen to their orders.
"Mr. Jarrett was intoxicated and belligerent and non-cooperative," Patrick Hogan, a spokesman for the airport, told Reuters.

Jarrett was arrested and charged with one count of obstructing the legal process and interfering with a police officer. The longtime anchor was booked in Hennepin County Jail, but posted his $300 bond and was released early Thursday.
Although Jarrett is scheduled to appear in court on June 6, court records don't list any defense attorney, according to the Associated Press.
Fox News, his employer, released a statement on Thursday addressing Jarrett's incident. Jarrett has been off the air since April, when he asked for time off to deal with personal issues.
"We were made aware late last night that Gregg Jarrett was arrested in Minneapolis yesterday and charged with a misdemeanor," the statement read. "He is dealing with serious personal issues at this time. A date at which Gregg might return to air has yet to be determined."
Jarrett has been with Fox since 2002. He currently anchors Fox News Channel's America News HQ on the weekend. Before that he worked for MSNBC, KCSM-TV (PBS) in San Francisco, California and obtained a law degree.
