'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' In Trouble? NeNe Leakes' Departure Affects Ratings?

The reality television series "Real Housewives of Atlanta" is reported to currently be in a rocky situation. The season which people expected to be the biggest turned out to be a disaster that could potentially hurt the future of the entire show.

According to She Knows, the Atlanta version of the franchise show has been having some problems because of the off-camera drama and the stories about the show pushing for fake relationships just so that it could spice things up and bring an escalation to ratings.

A report from Radar Online detailed that the producers of the show pushed Porsha Williams and Kenya Moore to bring some thrill into their love lives so that they could stay in the show. They needed to have a man or else they could expect not to come back on it or be turned into a friend of the housewives.

The source also stated that the constant fighting has been the show's secret in getting more viewers. The new executive producer, Carlos King, is said to be fond of promoting fighting. In fact, reports say that he is the reason why star cast member NeNe Leakes left the show. Although King denied the rumors, insiders insisted that Leakes and King have a high dislike for each other.

Leakes returned to filming with the cast during a trip to Jamaica as a guest. But now that it's all over, she's now ready to leave the show. According to Inquisitr, Leakes' departure from the show has greatly affected the current season in a negative way. Many of the fans were hoping to watch the star. But without her on the show, the report says there just isn't much going on.

So far, the season 8 run of "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" isn't terrible but it also hasn't been better. The change in the cast was supposed to up the ante and bring in more viewers. But reports say that it may have alienated some viewers instead. The show is also packed with intense drama, to the point of some friendships breaking apart.

Fans who have loyally followed the show can only hope that "Real Housewives of Atlanta" will have a season 9.
