Galaxy Note 4 Rumors: Phablet to Feature Retina Scanner
The upcoming Galaxy Note 4 might feature a retina scanner when it launches.
Samsung posted a teaser of a phablet like device which could be the Note 4 on its ExynosTwitter account last week and hints at it coming with some kind of Eye scanner.
"Security can be improved using features unique to us," wrote the company. "That's what we envision. What would you use?"

The tag line listed in the top of the teaser reads "Unlock the Future." This points to the scanner being the main tool used to unlock the phone. Samsung also has a track record with adding new features to its devices related to the eye as it released the Smart Screen scrolling and pausing on the Galaxy S4 last year.
An inside source in Korean media recently revealed that the Galaxy Note 4 release date will be in September 2014.
The news comes as no big surprise since the company normally drops its new flagship phablet around this time of year. Samsung is expected to announce the device at IFA in Berlin which runs from 5th to the 10th of September. It will go on sale shortly after that.
The source also claims that the Note 4 is about to go into mass production. The process is scheduled to begin between now and July.
A device believed to be the Galaxy Note 4 was recently run through AnTuTu benchmark tests. The results pointed to the phablet being 15 percent faster than the Note 3. This very same data was used last week to determine the specs that will appear on the Note 4 and it also reveals the difference in processing power with both of the upcoming models and current versions.
Two versions of the Note 4 will launch, according to the data with one model packing the Exynos 5433 chip and the other with a Snapdragon 805. The benchmarks show that the Exynos 5433 is the faster of the two, but even with that, the Snapdragon 805 bests the 801 and 800 by at least 15 percent. Those older chips can be found in the Note 3.
