'Game of Thrones' Season 7 News, Updates, Spoilers: Daenerys to Fulfill Promise to the Greyjoys; Possible Stark Reunion in 'GoT' Season 7?

It's that time of the year again where fans of the much-acclaimed HBO show "Game of Thrones" (GoT) throw themselves in endless guesswork about what's coming. Thankfully, the internet is dark and full of spoilers to tide them over the long wait for Season 7. Emilia Clarke (Daenerys Targaryen), for one, had generously posted an Instagram video of her getting brusquely buffeted by 50 mph North Irish winds. This confirms earlier reports that the cast and crew were shooting in North Ireland. But what is significant about it?

Takeaways from the North Ireland nugget

Historically, the show have always used North Ireland as a shooting location for Westeros, which means that Daenerys Targaryen will definitely make her way into her homeland for "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Another likely speculation is that Daenerys Targaryen will be landing in the West, roughly close to the vicinity of her new Greyjoy allies in the Iron Islands.

Fans would remember that in GoT Season 6, Daenerys had forged an alliance with an equally formidable female leader, Yara Greyjoy (Gemma Whelan), who's bent on taking back the Islands from her murderous uncle, Euron (Pilou Asbaek). Daenerys had promised to free the Iron Islands from his grasp and sovereignty once she gains the Iron Throne, in exchange for a hundred ships. Perhaps Daenerys would fulfill that promise come "Game of Thrones" Season 7, after all.

Sansa to die off in "GoT" Season 7?

Speaking of formidable female leads, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) may actually not survive "Game of Thrones" Season 7. During a series of Emmy interviews, the GoT star somberly confessed that shooting for the show's penultimate (and shortened) season was beginning to feel like the end and that the cast and crew were hanging out in Belfast more to spend as much time with each other as they could.

Sophie Turner also cautioned GoT fans that not all of them will make it to Season 8. While likely a reference to characters generally dying off in the most murderous show on television, Turner has constantly talked about wanting Sansa to get axed off the show, and she wants it to be as slow and brutal as possible. Could it come to fruition this "Game of Thrones" Season 7?

Possible Stark reunion

Hopefully, however, there's still time for a Stark reunion in "Game of Thrones" Season 7 before anything bad happens to Sansa. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (who plays Jaime Lannister) also told fans to expect more characters who haven't seen each other since Season 1 to meet up in the last two seasons, much like Sansa and Jon Snow (Kit Harrington). Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) are the top candidates for such a reunion. Will the siblings finally meet in their homeland, Winterfell?

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 will be back 2017 on HBO.
