'General Hospital' Spoilers, Cast News: Kristen Alderson Leaving ABC Series to Make it in Hollywood
When it was announced that Kristen Alderson would be leaving the hit ABC drama "General Hospital," fans were left extremely disappointed.
Alderson will be trying out new things in her career, and according to Celeb Dirty Laundry , Kristen Alderson's final appearance on the show will be February next year.
The actress recently spoke with ABC Soaps In Depth, and spoke about her plans for after her exit from "General Hospital." The 24-year-old actress said that she wanted to try something new, and wants to move into movies, but getting into Hollywood was proving more difficult that she had expected. She added that despite having acted most of her life, she is still taking acting classes now to develop herself and keep moving forward as an actress.

"I've had meetings with agencies and been told, 'You're literally changing careers.' I've entered a whole different world," Alderson explained.
"I've been taking classes to better my auditioning skills," she added.
For an actress who spent 18 years of her life on TV, auditioning and trying to land a new role in Hollywood was a new experience for Alderson.
According to the report, Alderson is putting her full focus on movies, and will not turn back to TV even if she is offered long-term prime time spots.
She told the magazine that she wants to do short-term gigs for now, in order to get one or more projects at the same time. "I don't want to book something that I'd be on for years and years. I want to do a bunch of little things," the actress explained.
