George and Amal Clooney News: Actor Slams Pregnancy Rumors
Ever since Amal Alamuddin married George Clooney in 2014, the world has set their eyes on the stunning lawyer and everything else in her life — not that the actor isn't worth all the buzz — but his wife seems to get most of the attention these days —- more specifically her tummy.
Recently, rumors about a pregnancy started emerging online. The rumors suggest that the London-based lawyer is finally carrying her first baby with the Academy Award winner. While fans went crazy over the rumors, it seemed necessary for George to come out clean and clarify the news.
According to Entertainment Tonight, the sweet actor and producer had a short chat with a Telegraph reporter during the Good Money Gala in Amsterdam on Tuesday. When asked if his wife is expecting, the "Hail, Ceasar!" the actor said, "No." He gave a smile, then a laugh, before he finally said, "But I like that you started that rumor."
Moving on, George went on to share how his wife had a really "successful" week as he detailed how Amal's hard work has led to the freedom of President Mohamed Nasheed. Nasheed was overthrown by some political dynasties in Maldives and was sentenced to 13 years behind bars for terrorism charges, but recently, he was temporarily freed.
Amal has had a good start of the year since she and George had an awesome celebration of their wedding anniversary during the gift-giving season. While it is unclear if the power-couple is planning for a baby anytime soon, they have been adopting dogs to expand their cute family.
Speaking of dogs, it has been revealed yesterday that the couple once again rescued a pup with a sad and unlovable past. Nate was once a very sad puppy as he is a terrier born with physical deformities, but now that he has George Clooney's parents as his new mom and dad, it is understandable that he will finally live a life without the feeling of being unwanted.
Aside from rescuing Nate and giving him to his dog-loving parents as a gift, George also reportedly donated a fat paycheck to LuvFurMutts, the shelter that fostered Nate.
