It has also been reported that Season 5, Episode 3 will feature the death of Monteith's character, Finn.

Monteith tragically died on July 13 from a toxic combination of heroin and alcohol aged just 31. He had suffered a long battle with addiction.

It has also been widely reported that Monteith's on and off screen girlfriend, Lea Michele, 26, is helping create the episode that will look to provide the chance for those behind the show to say farewell to their colleague and friend, and for fans of the hit show to pay their respects.

A source has said, "The producers are still going back and forth on what they want to do and clearing music for his tribute," according to ShowBizSpy.

"But most of all, Glee's creative team is looking to Lea to give the final word on decisions that are being made for this season's third episode, which will be an emotional tribute to Cory," the source continued.

"The meetings are lengthy and Lea is a part of them to make sure everything is just right. When they start filming the PSAs and the third episode, that is going to be a mess. After they film that episode they are going to go on a break to recharge."

"It's still touch and go for all involved. Tears can and will happen at anytime."

Recently, Michele also finally made an appearance on her Twitter account, which had been silent for a while. She thanked fans for their support after Monteith's death and announced that she had returned to "Glee" filming.

"Thank you all for helping me through this time with your enormous love & support. Cory will forever be in my heart," Michele tweeted with a photo of herself and Monteith.
