GoPro Hero 6 Black Specs News: Better Image Stabilization System Now Equipped
GoPro's new Hero 6 Black is now available worldwide, offering a better image stabilization system that eliminates shakes.
Much like the preceding units in the Black series, the Hero 6 Black comes with a 4K camera that shoots the said resolution at 60 frames per second. The new image stabilization system which is really a digital effect that process footages frame by frame then crops them to keep the image centered, thus the unit is able to minimize shaking.
Frames are cropped by 5 percent when stabilization is sought, leaving more pixels. Before they used to take out 10 percent.
The camera also has a better dynamic range, allowing users to take snaps at different sunlight conditions, even in low light. As for the touchscreen at the rear part of the device, users will now be able to utilize the touch-to-zoom feature.
The device can also film slow-motion clips at 2.7K at 120 fps. It can even go into super-slow-mo with 240 fps at a resolution of 1080.
Furthermore, the Hero 6 Black's better Wi-Fi radio now triples transfer speeds. Users will be able to move files into the GoPro app for their mobile devices in no time.
The latest features, from stabilization to slow-motion effect, are powered by company's latest processor, the GP1. By adding their own chip, GoPro seeks to differentiate itself from a growing number of manufacturers.
Tech junkies can get the new Hero camera along with the Karma drone for $1,199. The GoPro drone has received new updates. It now has a follow-me feature and it introduces a new trick that points the lens upwards for filming "looking up" shots.
The Hero 6 Black launched on Sept. 28. It is now available worldwide for $499.99. Users can make use of a microSD card for storage. They can pay an additional $59.99 for a 64 GB SanDisk Extreme memory card.
