'Great News' Season 2 Episode 2 Spoilers: Greg, Katie to Butt Heads over Job Responsibility
The upcoming episode 2 of "Great News" season 2 will feature Greg (Adam Campbell) feeling bypassed after Katie (Briga Heelan) chooses to work on a news story without his prior approval.
"Great News" season 2 episode 2 will have Greg and Katie arguing about the scope of their responsibility at work as teased by its recently released sneak preview. As seen on the promo for the upcoming episode, Greg confronts Katie after discovering that she picked a story without seeking his approval first.
"I'm sorry, okay? Diana (Tina Fey) told me to go for what I want. I just thought it would be nice if I got to decide what stories I do," Katie explains to Greg after he asks her what she was doing in the meeting room.

However, Katie's explanation is not enough to stop Greg who insists that picking the stories to air on "The Breakdown" is his job as he is the executive producer.
"Or you're saying you want my job," Greg asks Katie after stressing to her that the decision to choose a story is his responsibility, not that of a segment producer like Katie. This prompts to Katie to answer that she is not, other than the part of having the freehand to choose the stories she wants to air on the program.
As Greg continues to stress that choosing a story to air is under his jurisdiction, Katie tells the executive producer that he may just be scared that his subordinates will find out how easy his job is. Apparently, that statement from Katie is the last straw as it prompts Greg to announce that Katie will be taking on his role temporarily.
"Attention, everybody. Tomorrow's show will be executive produced by Katie Wendelson," Greg tells the rest of the team. "Why, you ask? To teach someone a valuable lesson," Greg announces.
Based on the synopsis for the upcoming episode, it seems that Katie will, indeed, be the executive producer of "The Breakdown" for a day, at least, as she will realize that Greg's job is a lot tougher than she initially thought.
"Great News" season 2 episode 2 is titled "Squad Feud" and airs on NBC this Thursday, Oct. 5, at 9:30 p.m. EDT on NBC.
