'Great News' Season 2 Spoilers: Diana Deals With a Scandal After Being Promoted in Episode 3

Diana (guest star Tina Fey) finds herself in the middle of a major scandal on the upcoming episode of "Great News" season 2.

Titled "HONEYPOT," this week's episode will see a sexual harassment scandal shake things up in the office. Diana gets another promotion and becomes head of the network. Before she leaves, however, she finds herself involved in a huge scandal in her workplace. This leads to Katie (Briga Heelan) being confused over who she should believe: her mentor or her other friends in the office.

Meanwhile, Carol (Andrea Martin) is finally named head intern. She struggles to convince herself and the rest of the interns that she deserves her recent achievement. Reports note the episode also marks the end of Fey's three-episode appearance on the NBC series.

Created by Tracey Wigfield, "Great News" explores changing dynamics in the family when Carol becomes an intern at her daughter Katie's place of work. The two main characters are fictionalized versions of Wigfield and her own loving but invasive mother.

Wigfield recently caught up with Variety and she revealed that more guest stars will be added this season. The additional faces are expected to open new storyline possibilities for each main character on the show.

"We have a love interest for Katie played by Reid Scott from 'Veep.' He's a New York Times reporter who looks down at Katie for working in cable news," said Wigfield. "Over the course of a couple episodes, they get close and start dating. We were looking for a fun love interest for her to play against Greg."

Additionally, Wigfield teased that someone important to Portia will be introduced soon. "In the sixth episode we have Rashad Jennings playing Portia's football player fiancé," she shared.

The second season of "Great News" airs every Thursday night at 9:30 p.m. EDT on NBC.
