Grey's Anatomy Spoilers for Season 10: 'A Season of Break-Ups,' Says Shonda Rhimes
Season 9 of Grey's Anatomy wrapped up, but the plot lines did not, leaving many loyal fans desperate for answers to what season 10 will hold.
Season 9 saw a great deal of romantic failures. Callie (Sara Ramierez) and Arizona's (Jessica Capshaw) marriage is crumbling, and Christina (Sandra Oh) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) aren't faring much better. Many wonder if season 10 will provide any romantic reconciliation. However, it seems like those hoping for the happily-ever-after ending might not get it.
Executive producer and show creator Shonda Rhimes said that she expects season 10 to be "a season of break-ups," according to the International Business Times.

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Jessica Capshaw, the actress who plays Arizona, went into more detail with what she expects for Callie and Arizona's relationship. Her comments hint that there may be some recovery.
"I do think that with any kind of infidelity, on some level -- unless you're dealing with a sociopath -- there's always a reason. There will be an exploration of what that reason was and that will give the Grey's writers fertile ground to play with next season."
Perhaps the biggest cliffhanger of season 9 concerns Dr. Richard Webber. It's not clear if he is alive or dead. But it seems nobody at Grey's Anatomy is going provide answers about Webber's state.
"I love that people are asking [if he's alive or dead] … "I'm not going to answer it because I like that it's a question, Rhimes told Entertainment Weekly.
It seems fans will have to wait until season 10 to find out if Dr. Richard Webber survived.
