GTA 5 DLC News: New DLCs Are Coming Soon, But Fans Are Still Waiting for a 'Story DLC'

The company behind the "Grand Theft Auto" (GTA) series, Rockstar, recently released its DLCs for GTA 5, but gamers are still disappointed not to see their most-awaited DLC, which is a "Story DLC."

Rockstar has hinted the existence of the content a few months ago, and since then, fans have been patiently waiting for this downloadable content. However, up until now, a "Story DLC" is still a no-show.

Sadly, after initially teasing gamers that the downloadable content will be rolled out, Rockstar and Take-Two Interactive later denied a "Story DLC" is going to ever happen, according to Cross Map. Fans have been disappointed after hearing the news.

Meanwhile, according to iDigital Times, several characters from "Grand Theft Auto 4" might be coming back as legacy players on the GTA 5 Single Player DLC. A well-known GTA tipster, YouTuber MrBossFTW, said that Yusuf Amir and Niko Bellic might be added to the said downloadable content. The website also suggests that Michael De Santa, Trevor Philips, and Franklin Clinton will be joining GTA 5.

However, since the other "Grand Theft Auto" games were in 2D and 3D, only GTA 4 characters can join the GTA 5 DLC. Main characters like Tommy and CJ, from "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City" and "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas," respectively, will not make it on GTA 5 Singe Player DLC.

The last downloadable contents from Rockstar have mainly targeted hardcore gamers, so there are rumors that the company is planning to release a newbie-friendly DLC, according to Yibada. The website also said that Rockstar might come out with "a new update soon." It also pointed out that in "GTA Online," players have a chance to now level up faster and gain more in-game cash due to the "Double RP" and "extra cash rewards" events.

Whatever new DLC might come next, fans are still hoping that a new "Story DLC" will be released by Rockstar.

GTA 5 is available on PCs, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
