Halo 4 will begin the new "Reclaimer Trilogy," arc in the series that is set four years after the events of Halo 3.

The story of Halo 4 is once again centered around the character Master Chief as he has been lost in space and adrift on the remains of a UNSC frigate with his artificial intelligence sidekick Cortana since Halo 3.

Together they will be facing an ancient evil that threatens the fate of the entire universe.

Bungie, the company responsible for creating the other Halo titles, was not involved with Halo 4, as the game was developed by Microsoft subsidiary 343 Industries.

The game will be release at a time when many other hot titles will hit shelves including Resident Evil 6 that is set to launch on Nov. 20.

Other high selling games such as Grand Theft Auto V and a new Call of Duty could also be launching around that time.

Assassin's Creed 3 will come out on Oct. 30, just one week before the new Halo drops.

Best Buy is currently accepting pre-orders for Halo 4 in stores and on its website.
