Harrison Ford Kept Forgetting Co-Star Ryan Gosling's Name

When "Blade Runner 2049" stars Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling appeared on "The Graham Norton Show" to promote their movie, the pair put on a running gag that left everyone in the audience bursting in fits of laughter.

The star of Ridley Scott's 1982 neo-noir science fiction flick, Ford, kept on forgetting the name of his co-star, Gosling. It was painful to watch and at the same time hilarious.

"I read about the character that Ry..." Ford hesitated as he started recalling what he thought of "Blade Runner 2049" upon reading the script. Gosling then interjected, "It's Ryan."

Though Ford could barely remember Gosling's name, he had no trouble recalling how he thought his co-star was perfect for the role he was cast in. "What a great part. Why don't we see if we can get ..." He stopped mid-sentence, turning to his co-star for help. "Ryan," he muttered, as he tried to hold back his laughter.

Ford tried to redeem himself by taking a shot at Gosling's full name. But before he could finish his sentence he was interrupted by his co-star, who asked, "Did you say Rosling?"

"This is a great part for Ryan Gosling," Ford said as he continued his story, looking at his partner for reassurance. After a few failed attempts, he earned himself a round of applause from the onlookers as well as from their fellow guests Reese Witherspoon and Margot Robbie.

Ford then admitted that he found out that the production team of "Blade Runner 2049" had been in contact with Gosling for months while they had only been in contact with him for weeks.

"So they probably would have gone ahead without me," he said. When the host reassured him with a resounding "no," he joked, "that's what I said."

"Blade Runner 2049" hits the big screen on Friday, Oct. 6.
