'Himouto! Umaru-chan R' Episode 5 Spoilers: What Will Umaru's Life Be Like without Taihei?
Siblings Taihei and Umaru Doma have been living on their own for a while now and have been doing so without much issue, except for Umaru's lazy home persona. What happens after Taihei leaves for a business trip on the next episode of the Japanese slice-of-life anime series, "Himouto! Umaru-chan R"?
The previous episode saw Umaru and her friends celebrating Christmas with a party, wherein Sylphynford Tachibana openly expressed her gratitude towards UMR, to which Umaru responded by coming back to Sylphyn's place as her video game persona dressed in a Santa suit.
This, in turn, gave Umaru's friend, Nana Ebina, a chance to walk home with Taihei, whom she has been crushing on for a while.
But while things seemed to have ended on a positive note for everyone, New Year's Day brought the news of Taihei's impending departure as part of a project team sent to do some business out of town. He will be gone for two weeks and is worried that Umaru will end up creating a mess, as she's wont to do when she's left alone.
And despite her seeming confidence that this will not be the case, Umaru may well end up doing this anyway.
The preview for the next episode titled "Big Brother Departs" teases that the siblings will at least be able to spend more time together before Taihei leaves. How will Umaru's life be like in two weeks of not having Taihei around to clean up her mess? Will she be forced to do everyday chores on her own, or will she end up lazing around until her big brother returns?
"Himouto! Umaru-chan R" airs on Sundays at 11:30 p.m. JST on AT-X and at midnight JST on Tokyo MX and BS11.
