'House of Cards' Season 4 News: Official Trailer Out; Frank and Claire Face Off
The official trailer for "House of Cards" season 4 has finally arrived and it's full of drama, lies, and a huge battle between two of the most powerful people in the presidential race.
In the trailer, some thrilling scenes occur between the people involved in Frank Underwood's (Kevin Spacey) campaign and he is about to face the biggest rival he has ever encountered. It's not the other contenders he will face off against in the presidential race; it's his wife.
As the scenes flash one by one, Frank tells his wife in voice-over: "You don't value what we have achieved. I have had to fight for everything in my entire life."
Frank may feel in the next season that his efforts were all that brought him and Claire (Robin Wright) on top of the competition for power, but he apparently failed to recognize his wife's work that allowed him to be where he is.
"I saw a future — out future," Claire responds, probably out of her angst and pains that led her to walk out of Frank's wife in the last episode of season 3. "We had a future until you started destroying it," Frank says.
Aside from the impending battle between husband and wife, the trailer also revealed that season 4 will feature new cast members. One is Neve Campbell then there's Ellen Burstyn. Their addition to the cast is expected to open more exciting and nerve-racking moments in Frank's campaign for presidency.
The teaser also became much more interesting with the scene where a faucet is seen leaking. Instead of water, the faucet drips blood, hinting that the biggest battle in Frank's life will see sacrificed lives and broken relationships.
Vox notes that the series has gained the approval of not only people in the Congress but even U.S. President Barack Obama. The show's colorful twists and turns not only reflect the busy and strenuous life inside politics but also digs into the lives of people who want to reach the country's highest seat.
"House of Cards" season 4 premieres on Friday, March 4.
