HTC One M10 Release Date & Rumors: Expected To Be Unveiled In March; Specs Include 5.1-Inch Display, Snapdragon 820
The HTC One M10 smartphone has been in the rumor mill for some time already and until now, reports about it keep coming. According to Know Your Mobile, HTC has been very quiet with their next flagship device. But thanks to leaks, it's possible to get tidbits of information on what the Taiwanese company has in store for their fans.
For starters, a report allegedly said that the successor of the One M9 may finally be unveiled this coming March. It is said to be introduced during a special event that has already been scheduled and will start selling in retail stores by April.
The HTC One M9 was previously unveiled during the Mobile World Congress. Many believed that it would be the same for its successor. But it seems like HTC is doing a different strategy by staying away from the big event so that its product would not need to share the limelight with other brands. There is still no word from HTC yet regarding this matter so it's best to take this report with a grain of salt.
As for the hardware specs and features of the smartphone, Techno Buffalo listed some of the leaked details from various sources. It said that the HTC One M10 will sport a 5.1-inch Quad HD display. If the information is accurate, it would be the company's first major flagship release to offer a standard resolution for high-end devices.
The device is also said to carry an eight-core Snapdragon 820 processor with 4 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, as noted in Gotta Be Mobile. The storage space can be expanded up to 200 GB via microSD card slot.
The primary camera of the handset is also said to be an upgrade featuring a 12-megapixel "UltraPixel" camera with optical image stabilization and laser auto-focus. There's also going to be fingerprint scanner and will run with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow.
