Indianapolis Colts vs New York Giants Live Stream: Watch NFL Monday Night Football Online (ESPN TV Start Time, Preview)
The Indianapolis Colts will play the New York Giants on Monday Night Football to conclude Week 9 of the NFL 2014 regular season. This is a game that the Giants dare not lose if they are to have any hopes of claiming a postseason berth, however, the Colts are flying high and Andrew Luck has been on fire. Tonight's big NFL game will start at 8.30 p.m. ET and takes place from the MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The game will be shown on TV on the ESPN network but can also be watched online through ESPN live stream (details below).
The Giants got off to a torrid start to the season, falling to 0-2 with defeats to the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals. However, they then managed to put on a three game win stream that saw them rise to 3-2 and gave hints that they could be contenders in the NFC East yet.
However, a 0-27 blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles followed by a 21-31 defeat to the Dallas Cowboys has ensured they are firmly rooted to the lower half of the division, and their postseason hopes have been put on a knife-edge.
At 3-4 they simply cannot afford to fall any further behind the Eagles and Cowboys with a loss tonight. The Giants come into tonight's game following a bye week so have had time to relax, reset themselves, and prepare diligently how to take down Andrew Luck and the Colts.
But the Colts are riding high on 5-3 and are way out in front a weak AFC South division.
Andrew Luck has been phenomenal and has thrown for 2,731 yards and 22 touchdowns in the Colts' eight games so far this season.
The Colts do have their frailties though, and they are coming into this game on the back of a 34-51 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Various gaps in the Indianapolis defense were cruelly exposed in that Week 8 match up, and no doubt Eli Manning and the Giants offensive team have been studying those weaknesses in the run-up to today's game.
However, so far this season the Giants have been nowhere near as good or consistent as the Steelers, and so they have a lot of work to do if they are to be as efficient in exposing those gaps.
If the Giants fail to win tonight they will be far behind the Eagles and Cowboys and all indications would be this could be another failed year for New York.
