Apple junkies can now download the latest software update, iOS11, on their iPhones and iPads.

Downloading iOS11 is not much of a hassle, that is, if the servers permit. Since the update went live, numerous individuals probably by the millions have tried to get their hands on it, which in turn have flooded the servers, causing it to lag.

Reports say some waited for hours for the update to come to completion. Servers are expected to work faster soon.

If users are eager to have the iOS 11 but are unwilling to wait for hours, then they should opt to activate the download at night, while they are sleeping.

Before updating to iOS 11, Apple users should back up their files first. One would be able to initiate the Backup command by accessing the option on the iCloud that is located in the Settings menu.

To download the update, users need at least 1.9 GB of storage space available. Apple users simply have to go to General and then proceed to Software Update. There they will find the Download and Install option. Tech enthusiasts should enter the passcode and agree to the terms and conditions that Apple has set.

The iOS 11 will introduce the all-new Files app that should make browsing and organizing data easier. The update also features new multitasking features.

When it comes to the already impressive Apple cameras, the iOS 11 will bring in optical image stabilization, HDR, and True Tone flash to the Portrait mode. Photos, as well as videos, will no longer take up a lot of space because of the new HEIF and HEVC formats.

As for Apple's virtual assistant, the iOS 11 will enable Siri to create to-do lists and reminders through the notes app. Moreover, users will now be able to command Siri to perform account transfer and balances through the banking app.

Apple's iOS 11 is currently available for download.
