iPad 4G Headed to Sprint?

Sprint seems to have plans to release the new 4G iPad in the near future, according to information discovered within Best Buy's inventory system.

"On that note, Sprint 4G ("new") iPads have appeared in this system, and they were screen-grabbed for all to see," wrote 9to5Mac regarding the device being listed in the retailer's inventory.

The chances of the tablet being released are the carrier are pretty good, considering Apple and Sprint have already become partners with the iPhone 4S.

Sprint is also building a 4G LTE network that could accommodate the iPad. The Samsung Galaxy Nexus is expected to come out on the carrier which is also an LTE device. However, no news has surfaced on its release date thus far.

9to5Mac also adds that Apple would not announce the Sprint iPad yet in order to optimize its release on other carriers such as AT&T and Verizon.

The site also reported that Sprint was already in the process of testing out iPads.

All these signs point to the tablet making its way over to the carrier that has already enjoyed a good amount of success with the addition of the iPhone 4S to its lineup.

Apple has already received a tremendous response for the new iPad.

"Customer response to the new iPad has been off the charts and the quantity available for pre-order has been purchased," the company told U.S.A. Today. "Customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date."

Apple began offering pre-orders for the iPad last week and the device will be available in the U.S. on March 16. The pricing on the tablet will remain the same as the previous iPad and the iPad 2 will be discounted by $100.

The new iPad features a high definition display and 4G LTE connectivity.
