iPad Air 3 News: New iPad Air Is Rumored to Be Released in Q1 Next Year
September was a busy month for Apple since a number of new devices were launched by the tech company. However, despite having new iPhones and the iPad Pros, there are no updates given about the next iPad Air.
The release date of the new iPad was supposed to be this year, but was later on postponed. According to My Drivers, a Chinese tech website, the possible release date for the new iPad Air 3 might be in the first quarter next year, specifically in March. Alphr pointed out that it's most likely to happen in March, since this was also the same month in 2015 that Apple announced the news about the MacBook Retina.
iPad Air 3 is believed to have a 3112 X 2334 pixel display and a 9.7-inch screen, according to Venture Capital Post. The website added that it will have a 401 ppi, which is similar to that in the iPhone 6s Plus. The iPad Air 3 will most likely be powered by an A9 or A9X chipset, and will either have a 2 GB or 4 GB RAM.

The iPad Air 3 is also rumored to have an 8-megapixel camera in the rear, while the front camera will have 2.1 megapixels. The upcoming iPad Air device is also believed to be only 5 millimeters thin, and will be dust and waterproof. Just like other Apple devices, the iPad Air 3 will be offered in different models, depending on storage size (16 GB, 32 GB, 64 GB, and 128 GB).
Alphr also mentioned that the new iPad might have less battery capacity than the iPad Air 2, which has 7,340 mAh. The website noted that this might be due to the new features that Apple has added to its new devices.
The price of the new iPad Air is rumored to have a £399 starting price, and prices will vary depending on the storage amount.
Apple has not confirmed any of the specs for the device as of now, thus fans are waiting for new updates on the new iPad Air 3.
