'iZombie' Season 2 Episode 9 Spoilers: Liv as Crime-Fighting Superhero in Midseason Finale?
Liv (Rose McIver) will finally become a crime-fighting superhero in the next episode of "iZombie," after she consumes a Seattle vigilante's brain. The next episode, which is titled "Cape Town," will serve as the show's midseason finale.
According to CDA News, the victim of this upcoming episode's murder case is Chris Allred (Jay Hindle), who's a high school teacher by day and a crime-fighter called "The Fog" by night. As usual, Liv will go crazy, which leaves Ravi (Rahul Kohli) and Detective Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin) with the new personality taking over her.
In the sneak peek released for "iZombie" season 2 episode 9, Ravi was seen super excited to know that Seattle has its own masked crime-fighter, but unfortunately, that hero ended up on their table at the morgue. Once the new brain kicked in, Liv became overprotective of the city, and became the new masked superhero. She said, "This city needs more than a symbol," and also mentioned that Seattle needs a "selfless defender to those who can't defend themselves."

Meanwhile, Blaine (David Anders) was seen rolling a man into the morgue where Liv and Ravi work at the end of the clip and told Liv to scratch that man. Scratches from a zombie would turn a person into a zombie, and Blaine wanted the man to become one. He said that turning the man into a zombie will give them the "cure." Fans are curious who the man is, and why he is the key to find the "cure" to turn Liv back into a human.
The synopsis of the upcoming episode reads, "Liv, Detective Babineaux and Ravi work together in solving the murder of Chris Allred (guest star Jay Hindle), who was a high school shop teacher by day, and a vigilante crime-fighter named "The Fog" by night. Liv gets into trouble while on superhero brains and becomes a little too much for Clive to handle. Meanwhile, Major has an eye opening conversation with a new friend. Lastly, Blaine forces Liv to do the unthinkable."
The midseason finale of "iZombie" airs next Tuesday, Dec. 8, on the CW.
