'iZombie' Season 2 Spoilers & Cast Update: 'Veronica Mars' Alum Enrico Colantoni Joins Show; Kristen Bell to Do Voice-over Role

It's been a month long hiatus for TV series "iZombie" but it won't be long until fans will be able to catch some new episodes of the show. According to TV.com, the zombie procedural will start airing again on Tuesday, Jan. 12. Fans can expect a lot of surprises in the show especially since a new name has been added into the cast.

As reported by Comic Book Resources, another "Veronica Mars" star is joining the show. Enrico Colantoni, who played as Keith Mars on the UPN/The CW teen noir drama series, has landed a recurring role on "iZombie." He will be playing the role of Lou Benedetto who is described to be a vice detective. However, his cases may be intersecting with Liv Moore's (Rose McIver) personal and professional life.

Other "Veronica Mars" stars that have already made a guest appearance on the show include Percy Daggs III, Daran Norris, Ryan Hansen and Adam Rose. But that's not all. Aside from Colantoni, Kristen Bell is also going to be featured in the show. "iZombie" is starting to look like a mini reunion for "Veronica Mars" now. It's not surprising though as Rob Thomas, the creator of "Veronica Mars," is a co-creator of "iZombie."

Fashion & Style noted that Bell will do a voice-over role in episode 11 titled "Fifty Shades of Grey Matter." She will be narrating the episode about a poisoned librarian who also secretly wrote erotic fictions. Further details of the episode are still kept under wraps.

Meanwhile, the synopsis for the upcoming midseason premiere episode has already been released. As detailed in WGNT, episode 10 will be titled "Method Head" and this time, Liv will consume the brain of the murdered lead actor of her favorite show, "Zombie High." Major's (Robert Buckley) loyalty will also be tested by Vaughn (guest star Steven Weber).
