'iZombie' Season 2 Spoilers: Kristen Bell to Read Erotica

The upcoming episode of "iZombie" season 2 will be bringing a familiar voice to the small screens.

After its winter hiatus, the series is now back on air. With that, it was revealed that Kristen Bell will be involved in the upcoming episode of the season. Titled "Fifty Shades of Grey Matter," Bell will be lending her voice to the series. The episosde is expected to be a parody of the best-selling novel titled "Fifty Shades of Grey."

According to Entertainment Weekly, the only detail revealed about her involvement is that she will be portraying a voice-over of a young librarian who also happened to be the author of an erotic fictional story. With that, Liv, played by Rose McIver, will be eating the brain of the young librarian after dying of food poisoning. Many fans of the show have been anticipating Bell's appeance on the series since creator Rob Thomas is also known for his previous series "Veronica Mars." However, Bell is not the first from the previous series to cross over to "iZombie." It was revealed that her former co-stars Ryan Hansen, Percy Daggs III, David Starzyk, Adam Rose and Daran Norris also made appearances in the series already.

Reports by The Hollywood Reporter also showed that Thomas tried to book the actor who played Logan Echolls in "Veronica Mars" for a role in "iZombie." However, things did not go as planned. He stated, "We had to cast someone else in that role unfortunately, but it would have been great to have him on the show. There are many people from Veronica Mars and Party Down that I hope to get on the show."

With that, fans of "Veronica Mars" will surely enjoy the upcoming episode, which is expected to include many inside jokes from the previous series.

"iZombie" season 2 episode 11, titled "Fifty Shades of Grey Matter," will air on The CW this Feb. 2.
