Jana Duggar Courting: Is Jana Dating Lawson Bates?
After the wedding of her three younger sisters, "Counting On" fans are eager to see Jana, the eldest daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, fall in love and get married.
They all saw a glimmer of hope when rumors began to surface that Lawson, the son of the Bates family from East Tennessee and good friends of the Duggars, is reportedly courting Jana.
Speculations sparked when the Duggars visited the Bates family from the "Bringing Up Bates" fame in Tennessee last month. Aside from being a friendly visit, reports claim that the Duggars' visit served another purpose, and that is because of the courtship between the 27-year-old Jana and the 25-year-old Lawson.

Jana and Lawson have so far remained silent regarding the real nature of their relationship. It was Lawson's mother, Kelly Jo Bates, that has finally put the rumor to rest by posting a statement on the official Bates Family Blog.
"I think that probably Lawson and Jana would both be shocked by that news, although we have heard that rumor," Kelly said. "They are very good friends but no courtships that either of our families are aware of."
This is not the first instance that Jana has been attached to a relationship or courtship rumor. Back in 2014, there were speculations that she was involved with NFL star Tim Tebow, but it was later proven to be false.
In an interview with Crown of Beauty magazine, Jana confessed that there is a slight difficulty in seeing her younger sisters get married and move out of the house before her. However, she maintained that she was in no rush to be in a relationship with someone, and is choosing to trust in what God has planned for her.
"Waiting is not always easy," she said. "Especially in those times when all the married siblings are getting together and you can't go along because you're not part of 'that' group. But waiting doesn't mean sitting and literally waiting. No, we need to be busy with where God has us...being content and joyfully serving Jesus there."
