Jennifer Lopez, Maksim Chmerkovskiy Dating? 'It's Really New'
Jennifer Lopez recently split but her boyfriend of two years, but the singer is reportedly already moving on with "Dancing with the Stars" pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.
Lopez, 44, ended her relationship with Casper Smart, 27, amidst cheating rumors. Nevertheless, the "I Luh Ya Papi" singer is looking for love once more in "DWTS" fan-favorite, Chmerkovskiy.
"It's really new," a source close to J. Lo told Confidenti@l.
Lopez and Chmerkovskiy met in November during the American Music Awards where they offered a performance together honoring Cuban salsa artist Celia Cruz. The dance routine even included Chmerkovskiy lifting Lopez high above his head. During the event, Chmerkovskiy tweeted that it was "the most stressful four seconds of my life."
"You saw [their chemistry]," the insider at Confidenti@l hinted.
Adding to the speculation of Lopez's romance with Chmerkovskiy, another source revealed that the singer was "already talking about dating," according to People.com. The "First Love" singer is also envisioning "a relationship with a guy who is older and has an established career," the insider added.
It comes as no surprise that J. Lo is ready to date again despite her recent break-up. The New York City native has endured many break-ups before; including ending engagements to both Ben Affleck and P. Diddy as well as her divorce from Marc Anthony in 2011. Notwithstanding, Lopez has admitted she "doesn't like to be alone" and that she loves being in love.
"I always believe in that institution [of marriage], my parents were married for a very long time, they were married for 35 years," the singer said last year to E! Online. "I believe in it, it's difficult. I've had my challenges but at the same time I believe in love and I think that that's the main thing."
Meanwhile, Lopez is headed to Sao Paolo for the opening ceremonies of the World Cup on Thursday, June 12. Alternately, for the next few weeks, Chmerkovskiy is serving as a guest judge on "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa," which is India's version of "DWTS."
