'Jessica Jones' Season 2 Spoilers: Jessica to Harness New Power of Flight
Jessica (Krysten Ritter) may harness her ability to fly in the upcoming season of "Jessica Jones."
According to CBR, it is time for Jessica to tap on a special power that will make her superhero journey infinitely better. In the comics, the private investigator can fly. So far, the Netflix series has only shown her jumping from buildings and so on. This may be because Jessica is just starting to explore her superpowers and has yet to realize this ability. The new installment may see the discovery of her new skillset. Flying will make Jessica's mission easier especially when she is hunting down criminals. Perhaps, being with the Defenders may have opened her mind to different possibilities about her powers.
While season 2 is expected to focus on Jessica and her new adventures, Ritter revealed that the new storyline would also give importance to her connection with friends. Trish (Rachael Taylor), Jessica's best friend and adopted sister, will have her share of action once she restarts her investigation on IGH. Malcolm (Eka Darville), Jessica and Trish's buddy, will also get more screen time. Ritter said that almost all the characters would get to expand their horizons. This may be a hint that Malcolm may be joining the sisters in future missions, at least with cases that will not be that dangerous for regular humans.
"Just by nature of a new structure and it being more emotional, you have to expand the world beyond just Jessica's head. We're allowing Carrie-Anne Moss and Hogarth's storyline, Rachael Taylor who plays Trish, and Eka Darville who plays Malcolm to have more opportunities for development so our world will feel a little bigger. The show is still totally focused on Jessica, but the supporting players are getting great moments to shine this season," Ritter teased.
"Jessica Jones" season 2 will air on March 8 on Netflix.
