JoJo Siwa Opens Up About Leaving 'Dance Moms'
Jojo Siwa recently admitted she had a difficult time saying goodbye to "Dance Moms."
In her new book "JoJo's Guide to the Sweet Life," Siwa offers a lot of advice and life tips for young individuals like her. It also touches on her experience while she was still on "Dance Moms."
Siwa left the show in 2016 to pursue other projects and focus on her own brand. Her big move led her to a new deal with Nickelodeon. Although she has already accomplished many things at a young age, Siwa admitted that her stint in "Dance Moms" was one of the most unforgettable. She shared that she even begged her mother to return to the reality program.
"By the time I left 'Dance Moms,' I'd made so many friendships. And I didn't want to leave anyone behind," she mentioned in her book, adding she continues to keep in touch with her friends from the show.
On Saturday, Siwa was all smiles as she attended the 2017 Nickelodeon Halo Awards. The young dancer wore a bedazzled outfit matched with her signature bow hairpiece. She sported a metallic silver jacket filled with fun patterns, paired with a blue top and a pair of red trousers. She completed her scene-stealing look with a pair of silver high-top sneakers.
After an exciting time on "Dance Moms," Siwa is more than happy to explore a new chapter in her career. She is now busy with new projects she has been working on at Nickelodeon. The reality show alum is currently starring in "Lip Sync Battle Shorties," the network's latest series where kids take part in a lip-synching contest. Nick Cannon serves as the host, with Siwa offering commentary.
Only one episode of the "Lip Sync Battle" spinoff series — a Halloween special — has been aired. The next one will be a holiday special, which is slated to air in December before the full series officially debuts next year.
