Jordana Brewster Talks 'Fast and Furious 9' Delay
"Fast and Furious" actress Jordana Brewster is bummed about the delay of the next film in the franchise.
Brewster, who appeared in four of the eight films in the franchise, excluding the 2017 movie, is looking forward to a comeback in "Fast & Furious 9," she told E! News in an interview at the P.S. Arts Express Yourself 2017 event.
"It is a bummer because the longer you have to wait...I mean, it's a bummer," Brewster said. "But on the other hand that gives everyone a little more time to ruminate and make it better, so that's good."

Universal Pictures announced last week that "Fast and Furious 9" will hit theatres a year later than what they originally planned. Shortly after the studio made the announcement, it was revealed that a spinoff starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Jason Statham would be released prior to the original film.
Another "Fast and Furious" veteran is not too happy about the delay. Tyrese Gibson on Instagram reacted to the spinoff announcement by calling out Johnson, saying how he has made the franchise totally about him. The actor even took a shot at his co-star's summer flop "Baywatch."
Also on Instagram, Johnson wrote a lengthy message to thank Universal for pushing through with the spinoff. He also thanked his co-star Statham for agreeing to do the movie with him. But what caught everyone's attention was the hashtag he used, "CandyAssesNeedNotApply."
This reminds everyone of the drama during the production of the latest "Fast and Furious" film wherein Johnson called a co-star "candy-ass" on social media, which may or may not have been about Vin Diesel.
When Brewster was asked if she had spoken to Gibson about the on-going drama, she said that she has not.
"I follow Tyrese on Instagram and I find it hilarious how...he's just very honest and open, which I think is hilarious," Brewster admitted. "But I think there's enough love...our fanbase is so big and our fans are so loyal that I think there's enough love out there for any iteration of the franchise."
The "Fast and Furious" spinoff should hit the big screen on July 26, 2019.
