'Justice League' News, Release Date: Jason Momoa Confirms Film Has a Post-Credits Scene

Since the beginning of the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), the studio has always refrained from teasing its future films through post-credits scenes or sequences. So far, "Suicide Squad" is the only DC film to include one, but it looks like it won't be the last.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that the DCEU's next outing, "Justice League," will also include a post-credits scene, making it the second DC film to tease the future of the DCEU.

It can be recalled that since "Man of Steel," the studio has made an effort to distance its films from the films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), which always include a post-credits scene. However, DC broke this trend with "Suicide Squad," when the film featured a post-credits scene showing Batman (Ben Affleck) setting the stage for "Justice League."

In an interview with BBC Radio 2 on Wednesday, Jason Momoa, who is set to play Aquaman in "Justice League," teased that the film would have an after-credits scene. "They do have to watch right through the end. You gotta sit through the whole thing, go through the credits," said Momoa.

It remains to be seen whether the "Justice-League" post-credits scene will be a comedic or dramatic one, but it is expected to tease what's next in the DCEU after the events in "Justice League," just as how the "Suicide Squad" post-credits teased what's yet to come in "Justice League."

Meanwhile, Momoa also talked about his role as Aquaman in "Justice League" and how it would differ from the Aquaman in next year's "Aquaman" standalone film.

He said that in "Justice League," Aquaman is depicted as a grumpy superhero and a devil's advocate. "But I've just finished my solo movie, and you really get to see where this beautiful boy came from and what his life was like and what was ripped away from him," he added.

"Justice League" will open in theaters on Nov. 17, while the "Aquaman" solo film will be released on Dec. 21, 2018.
