'Justice League' News, Release Date: Superman Gets New Motion Poster

Superman (Henry Cavill) has been absent from most of the promo materials for "Justice League," allegedly because his role in the upcoming film is relatively minor compared with the rest of the league. In less than two weeks before the film opens in theaters, however, Warner Bros. has released a new "Justice League" motion poster, putting Superman on the center stage.

On Nov. 7, Superman got a new website dedicated to him, and it is called "No Justice without Hope." This website features the motion poster of the Man of Steel, with Lois Lane (Amy Adams) giving a speech about darkness, hope, and light.

Earlier this week, Warner Bros. also released a new "Justice League" TV spot, offering a closer look at Barry Allen's father, Henry Allen (Billy Crudup). Although the new TV spot does not reveal much about the film, it offers a never-before-seen glimpse of Henry Allen as he speaks to his son, as well as Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) as she saves a group of people from a felon.

In the new TV spot, Henry Allen is shown behind bars, talking to his son Barry and telling him that he's brilliant and that he can do anything that he wants. Elsewhere in the clip, there's Wonder Woman rushing inside a courtroom and rescuing a group of individuals from a madman. The TV spot also features Lois Lane.

Meanwhile, an intriguing report about the budget for "Justice League" also surfaced alongside the new footage. The report comes from the Wall Street Journal, revealing that the budget for the film skyrocketed to at least $300 million following last summer's reshoots. The report also puts the upcoming film at $110 million for its opening weekend, around $10 million less than the prediction for "Thor: Ragnarok."

"Justice League" is set for release on Nov. 17.
