'Justice League' News, Release Date: Wonder Woman Says She's a 'Believer' in New Clip
Three new clips meant to promote "Justice League" were released earlier this week, focusing on Barry Allen/The Flash (Ezra Miller), James Gordon (J.K. Simmons), and Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot). While the clips generally offer extended looks at some plot points that were already revealed in the previous teasers for the film, the one featuring Gadot drops a new detail about the character — she's a believer.
The "Wonder Woman" standalone film was released earlier this year and is now known as DC's most successful film ever. In "Justice League," fans of the female superhero will catch a glimpse of her again as she joins the other members of the league in their fight to save mankind.
In the new "Justice League" clip featuring Wonder Woman, a group of hostages is shown attempting to rob a bank and setting a bomb to explode in twenty seconds. The clip then shows Gadot's character rushing in as she is welcomed by a series of flying bullets. Apparently, the bullets fail to stop her from accomplishing her mission. Towards the end of the clip, she takes out the robbers before throwing the bomb out of the building, where it finally detonates.
The last part of the clip shows the lead bank robber asking Wonder Woman what she is. The female superhero then responds, "a believer," before ultimately striking her armbands together. Her line suggests that although the world still mourns the loss of Superman (Henry Cavill) in "Justice League," there are still heroes like her who are ready to help those who believe.
In the other clips, Batman (Ben Affleck) is shown motivating Flash and helping him overcome his fears. He tells him to redirect his focus on saving people so he can forget about the things that terrify him like bugs and guns. The third clip highlights J.K. Simmons as he meets Batman on a rooftop to ask him how many of the heroes are there. Batman answers that there aren't enough.
"Justice League" will hit theaters on Nov. 17.
