Kanye West Spending Millions on In-Home Hospital to Protect Kim Kardashian, North?

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have reportedly spent millions of dollars on renovations for their Bel Air home and a new report claims the rapper plans to spend even more money on an in-house hospital.

The Hollywood power couple is still said to be living at Kardashian matriarch Kris Jenner's Calabasas estate while they await the completion of renovations on their Bel Air mansion. An insider claims West, who is notoriously protective of his daughter North, is going to great lengths to protect the health and well being of his family by installing an in-home medical facility.

"The special suite will include an X-ray machine, CT scanner, ultrasound and blood-taking facilities," a source told the Daily Star UK.

"Other celebrities such as Madonna have taken similar measures in the past, but not on such a grand and costly scale," the source explained. "The facilities will enable the family to monitor their sugar levels, cholesterol and blood pressure."

Kardashian, 33, and the "Yeezus" rapper, 37, purchased the $11 million property in February 2013, however, ongoing renovations have delayed them from moving in. West's new plans from a mini hospital will undoubtedly push back their move in date.

"They will also have a team of private doctors around the clock, daily visits from top nurses and a full paediatric team for North," the insider explained.

"Kim believes it's paranoid and a bit unnecessary. But she figures it can't do any harm, and he might prove to be right one day," the source added.

In addition to spending a large sum on the medical facility, the Hollywood couple reportedly dropped $750,000 on gold plated toilets and more than $1 million on luxury bedding.

"They expect the interior to cost twice as much as the property. They're spending more than a million on a security system alone," a source previously told The Sun U.K.

West reportedly ordered six special-edition beds from the same company that supplies London's Savoy Hotel. The wealthy pair allegedly also spent more than $750,000 on Electrolux, which is Swedish household appliance manufacturer, goods and a Swarovski-encrusted fridge freezer.

The reality TV star and rapper's 14,000 square-foot Italian-style home reportedly features a custom gym; movie theater; full hair and makeup salon; bowling alley; basketball court; and both an indoor and outdoor pool, according to TMZ.com.
