Karrueche Tran News: Model-Actress Reveals Restraining Order Against Chris Brown is for her Safety
Karrueche Tran has finally revealed the reason she obtained a restraining order against her former boyfriend, Chris Brown.
It was in June when it was reported that Tran was granted a five-year restraining order against Brown, whom she dated for five years until they finally called it quits in 2015. While neither Tran nor Brown have spoken about the issue, the former finally revealed the reason she resorted into the act.
In an interview with Ebro Darden at Hot 97, Tran explained that she was left with no choice but to secure a restraining order against Brown as it is the only way to ensure her safety.

"It just got to a point where it's just like, I can't... Just to make sure. And I live in L.A. I'm from L.A. So I move around how I want to move, you know what I'm saying? So that's what I felt like I needed," Tran said in the interview.
Meanwhile, in a separate interview on the "Wendy Williams" show, Tran narrated that she and Brown met because of her job as a personal assistant to a stylist back then. According to the model-turned-actress, because Brown exhibited a certain level of charm, she couldn't help but fall for him.
"So I was on a job, and we met and he did his whole charming thing. It started as us just being friends. I didn't have sex with him, or anything like that. Then it got to my emotions, and I fell in love with him," Tran told Williams.
However, after almost five years of on-and-off relationship, Tran and Brown finally called it quits in March 2015 as it was revealed that Brown had allegedly gotten another woman pregnant.
In her bid to secure a restraining order against Brown, Tran told the court that the rapper-singer had threatened her with violence and had even punched her in the stomach twice and pushed her down the stairs.
Brown's supposed violence towards Tran was not the first time for the rapper-singer, though. In 2009, Brown was also involved in a highly publicized physical abuse case after beating his then-girlfriend, Rihanna.
