The "American Idol" alum and her husband Brandon Blackstock welcomed their first baby girl, named River Rose, on June 12. Just under one week later, Clarkson took to Twitter sharing news and a photo of her "beautiful baby girl."

"Here is our beautiful baby girl River Rose; 6 lbs 6oz, 18 inches, and the greatest thing on the planet," the singer posted.

In the photo, River Rose rested her head on her hands with her eyes closed while laying on lace within a red old-fashioned baby carriage. The adorable photo has caused a stir online, and Clarkson later thanked the photographer who captured her little one.

"Thank you so much @Archtype_Photo @kobyb for the amazing pictures of our little girl!! Once again, y'all knocked it out of the park!!"

Clarkson had just announced River Rose's arrival on Twitter one day after her birth, writing, "Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!!"

The 32-year-old new mom first announced her first pregnancy back in November, and over the last few months, the singer was very outspoken about her morning sickness. Consequently, when announcing the gender of the baby, Clarkson joked about the rough pregnancy.

"We just found out we're having a girl officially! I knew it," she wrote on Twitter on Jan. 20. "Only a girl could cause this much drama and all this vomiting!"

Meanwhile, Clarkson is already a step-mom to Blackstock's two children from a previous marriage; 11-year-old Savannah and seven-year-old Seth. The first-time mom and Blackstock, the stepson of Reba McEntire through her marriage to Clarkson's manager, have been married since October 2013.
