Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom News: Lamar's Lungs May Have Been Damaged; Khloe Threatens to Leave If He Take Drugs Again

Lamar Odom's health crisis is still far from over, since sources say that his lungs may have been damaged after his drug overdose, and his rehabilitation may take up to six months.

According to a source that told People, the former NBA star had an emergency operation because of his damaged lungs, and may be connected to pneumonia. "The pneumonia was a huge setback, and now there's worry about permanent scarring of the lungs," the source added.

The website added that his kidneys are still not functioning properly, and that the 35-year-old athlete is still on dialysis. Kidney transplant is still not being considered, but the source added it may be once he is strong enough.

Lamar's former college basketball coach and close friend, Jim Harrick, spoke with USA Today, and told that it might take six months for the basketball player to rehabilitate. "There is a long road ahead to rehabilitation," Harrick said during a phone conversation with the publishing. "This is serious stuff. It could be six months or more for rehab and all that. We don't know what state his kidneys and lungs are going to be in," he added.

"I just want him to get right and have a long and happy life," the coach finally added.

Lamar was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel, and was taken to Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. His estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, rushed to his side, after hearing about his critical condition, and has been making all the medical decisions on his behalf.

The couple decided to call off their almost finalized divorce, and according to TMZ, Khloe has threatened Lamar that she'll be gone forever, if he went back to his old ways. According to a source close to the 31-year-old reality star, Khloe is ready to relaunch the divorce petition, if Lamar does drugs again.
