'Killer Instinct' Season 3 Update: New Characters Revealed, Arriving To Windows 10 In March
Fans of the fighting video game "Killer Instinct" season 3 can expect to find someone new in the roster as reports say that developer Microsoft Studios has added and already revealed the new characters who will be joining the game during the launch.
According to Gamespot, Microsoft Studios creative director Adam Isgreen confirmed via a "Killer Instinct" Twitch livestream that the barbarian tribal warrior Tusk will be added into the roster. Aside from that, gamers will also have Kim Wu, the oriental martial artist who wields nunchucks. Xbox Achievements noted that both of the characters previously appeared in 1996's "Killer Instinct 2." It's also mentioned that the characters will be featured with "retro costumes" which are based on how they appeared in the older version.
While Tusk and Kim Wu are confirmed, some characters who fans requested for will not be able to make it to the roster. According to IGN, "Killer Instinct" bosses Eyedol and Gargos will not be coming to the third installment of the game.
"Eyedol is tough. It's like this weird Harryhausen monster with satyr legs and a giant club and he had like two moves and he was super cheap," Isgreen said, according to the IGN report.
The creative director also mentioned that they will be doing some tweaking with some of the characters for season 3. He did not specify though who will be getting the tweaks.
In another note, the game is coming a few months from now. As noted in DSO Gaming, Isgreen confirmed that the game is expected to be launched sometime in March. But fans should take note that the game is set to arrive on a limited platform. It will be exclusive only to the new Windows 10.
The livestream also revealed other information for the upcoming game. It said that there is going to be an updated Dojo Tutorial. More characters are also going to be revealed later on. Fans should stay tuned as more details will be released.
