Kourtney Reppert, Stalking Victim and Model, Develops Website for Other Victims

Kourtney Reppert, a model, is used to fame, but she never expected to be the victim of cyber-stalking and death threats. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has arrested a man in connection with the threats.

Luis Plascencia had been sending Reppert threatening messages, including one saying that he would kill her and her family.

"I hope you die in an automobile accident and crush your ugly face through the windshield and a large piece of glass cuts your throat," NBC has reported Plascencia said.

It's a far cry from the admiration Reppert is used to getting, though she is no stranger to the limelight. Reppert has teamed up with former Miss USA Chelsey Cooley to raise awareness of stalking, bullying, and abuse.

"On the darkest day, during the most hopeless moments, when it's hard to even get out of bed- we understand. Cyberstalking, bullying and any form of abuse are everywhere. It's hard to trust and know where to turn. Until now," reads the pair's site. They have formed a hotline for victims to use if they feel threatened or need someone to talk to.

In an interview with ABC News, Reppert said that Plascencia "changed the way I view people. I don't even want to go out. I don't even want to work because I'm so petrified." She received over 400 emails from Plascencia and was terrified to do what she loved most, which was modeling.

FBI agents arrested Plascencia for stalking and harassment, which is a relief for Reppert, but she noted that she still doesn't feel safe.

"It's worse right now because all the while the adrenalin these past four months has kind of kept my emotions at bay, and I never wanted this person to see what he's done to me," she explained.

That's why working with Cooley has provided an outlet for those emotions and given Reppert something to take her mind off of things.

"Releasing your emotions is the first step to healing," the website says.
