Kristen Bell Talks About Her Relationship With Husband Dax Shepard Before Their Marriage

Kristen Bell dishes out on how frequently toxic she and husband Dax Shepard used to fight when they were dating.

Kristen Bell and Dex Shepard are arguably the most adorable couple in all of Hollywood today. But their relationship is far from perfect, and in a recent guest appearance on "Harry," hosted by Harry Connick Jr., the "Frozen" actress revealed how their toxic fights almost ruined their relationship.

According to Bell, back when they first met, she was a big lover of dramatic exits, and that is exactly what she did each time she and Shepard would get into a fight.

"I loved it. We'd get in a fight, because we would fight, a lot, and I'd like yell something then slam the bedroom door, then I'd slam the front door, then I'd get in my car and then I'd skid out the driveway and I would sit around the corner in my car and it felt so good and I realized how incredibly toxic it was only after he pointed it out," she confessed.

However, just three months into their relationship, Dax Shepard told her she isn't allowed to make a dramatic exit each time they would have a fight anymore. Bell's now-husband explained that while he truly loves her, he also has more respect for himself which is why he wouldn't put up with the actress's ways.

Shepard also pointed out how Bell wasn't a good fighter and that their marriage wouldn't survive if she continued with her drama-fueled exits and her toxic behavior. The irony of the story is that Kristen Bell actually found her husband more attractive after he told her off.

"The Good Place" actress had previously revealed that she and Shepard actually broke up early into their relationship, but thankfully, despite the challenges they have faced, the two still managed to work out their differences together.
