Lakers News, Rumors 2014: Hard Pressed for Chance at Championships, Team Keeps Faith Over Rookies
The Los Angeles Lakers had just started their training camp and it seems that fans are skeptical at how the team would fair during the 2014-15 season. The skepticism isn't at all odd since the Lakers were plagued with injured players last season and dropped to the second-lowest spot, and suffered their worst record since moving to Los Angeles in 1960.
The team's star-player Kobe Bryant has been working non-stop to get back into shape to make amends for his absence last season due to injuries. Because of the injuries, he only managed to play six games and it is unclear on whether the veteran player will be able to carry the team to the championships.
Only recently, Bryant had gone off to Munich, Germany to visit his doctor for a routine checkup. This has been indication enough that Bryant is at least up and ready to play this season. However, the hard times is still to come.

The team had lost its bid at Pau Gasol and Carmelo Anthony and it is unclear on whether the Laker's acquisition of young players will be enough to bring them to the championships. Of course, Bryant will want to have another shot at the championships before he retires from professional basketball.
As for the young, new acquisitions, the team will have to put its faith in their abilities as it's their only hope in having a chance at the championships. Jordan Clarkson will be coming off the bench and into the starters and some within the Lakers think that he will have some impact with the rookies at the very least.
Julius Randle will be a reserve behind Carlos Boozer as power forward and will have to improve on his shots if he wants to be put into the starters.
While the Lakers aren't the strongest team out there right now, they still have a chance to be a championship contender but the team will have to work hard for it.
